Hello,

I am having a lot of problems with Nevada on my PC (Asus P5VD1-X (PT880Ultra
Chipset), 3Gb memory, IDE HD)
First I tried with a 320Gb EIDE HD in the box. No success (see my previous
messages sent by the end of August 07)
Basically I ended up with the following error messages right at the beginning
of the installation procedure:
ERROR: Could not create Fdisk partition table
ERROR: Could not label disks
ERROR: Could not update disks with new configuration
ERROR: System installation failed

Then I thought, OK, let's change PC and let's change the HD.
I install b73 on an other PC with a 60Gb HD. No problems at all. Then I moved
the HD to the ASUS box and there, surprise surprise, it does not even
boot!!!! (If my memory does not betray me, it does not go further than
GRUB...)

So my conclusion is: There is a major issue with EIDE on Asus P5VD1-X
(PT880Ultra Chipset). I have been struggling with it between b69 and b73 (I
did not try with any later version of Nevada).

Where can this bug be declared and how can I help to get it fixed!!!

Cordially

                        Daniel
