Hi
Grub is usually set up to autodectet a windows partition .
so Grub in Linux wont detect Solaris and grub in solaris wont detect
linux,.
Usually the last operating system you installed writes its bootstrap to the
MBR.
If you installed Solaris last , you have the /boot/grub/menu.lst file
This file is the basis for the Grub boot menu . The file contains the
instructions to set up additional entries.
# To chainload another OS
#
# title Another OS
# root (hd<disk no>,<partition no>)
# chainloader +1
simply edit the file and put the Hard Disk number and the Partition
number
were Linux can be booted.
in Some linux'es you can select to put the bootstrap On the MBR or in the
Linux Partition . You need to have the Linux bootstrap in the linux
partition for this to work.
/lars
