I have a basic nevada_78 install where I'm trying to use it as a file server, iTunes server, etc on my basic verizon FIOS home network (actiontec router, several windows XP desktops and the file server). Basically, I can write to a SAMBA file system without issue but when I try to read from the file system, I get the behavior described in the attached file (nwamd debug info). Basically, nwamd takes the networking interface down (Netgear 10/100 -rtls0) and will bring it back up and take it down several times. SAMBA"s nmbd will crash because of nothing to do and the only way to recover from the interface issue is to
I let nwamd do all of my networking and have configured ipv4 routing off to
ensure something wasn't configured improperly there. I've searched the forums
and google to the best of my ability, but I've reached the point where I need
some guidance.
My smb.conf is attached as well as a nwam debug log.
