Hello, I wanted to try the new CIFS code - so attempted to upgrade my nv64a x64 box to nv82. I first tried using Live Update on a Volume Manager Mirror (metaattach et al) - but GRUB refused to mount the LU'ed BU on the mirrored drive - giving me:
Filesystem type unknown, partition type 0x82 [BIOS accpeted mixed-mode target setting!] Error 17: Cannot mount selected partition. Next, I attempted to perform a DVD upgrade, but the installer GUI failed to identify any existing partitions (showing a 'Cannot mount root partition' error). Is nv64a - nv82 too big a jump for the update process? If not, can anyone suggest what I try next? I could un-mirror the disks and try and perform a fresh install on the spare mirror disk, then boot to that and re-setup the mirror back to the original drive? FYI the root/boot disks are on a Marvell 88SE6121 controller.
