Hi Your Ethernet device is Supposed to be known.
/etc/driver_aliases contains a line: e1000g "pci8086,104d" check with /usr/X11/bin/scanpci that this is what Solaris sees as well as linux. Re , disk partitiononing. If you install SXDE you have no controll over disk partitioning. SXDE uses a new prototype installer which is intended to lower the barrier of entry into Solaris for the novice. If you Install SXCE instead ( from the SAME DVD ) , the old installer will run that asks you a lot of detailed questions about networking and disk partitioning. You can install the developer tools in a separate install after SXCE has installed. //Lars This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
