heh yes that is the thread I started. I figured if snv_76 was the current min.
required platform then I'd take the easy way out. So I did a live upgrade to
snv_82 and that worked just fine. Assuming all was well, I downloaded the ON
src for build 83 (and new SUNWonbld pkg and new closed bins) and ended up with
the same errors...

dmake: Warning: Don't know how to make target
`/export/home/mbw725/src/nevada/proto/root_i386/lib/libc_i18n.a'
dmake: Warning: Target `libc.so.1' not remade because of errors

I most definitely have the closed binaries unpacked but I receive this warning
in the mail message:

==== Build warnings (DEBUG) ====
Warning: closed binaries not properly unpacked.

One problem is that my nightly.log file comes out to about 250,000 lines... a
bit hard to read.

Thinking that my env must have something conflicting, I've stripped it bare:

USER=mbw725
LOGNAME=mbw725
HOME=/export/home/mbw725
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/ccs/bin:/usr/openwin/bin:/opt/SUNWspro/bin:/opt/onbld/bin:.
MAIL=/var/mail/mbw725
SHELL=/bin/tcsh
TZ=US/Pacific
XAUTHORITY=/tmp/ssh-xauth-hZaOrK/xauthfile
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
SSH_TTY=/dev/pts/2
TERM=xterm
DISPLAY=localhost:11.0
HOSTTYPE=i86pc
VENDOR=sun
OSTYPE=solaris
MACHTYPE=i386
SHLVL=1
PWD=/export/home/mbw725/src/nevada
GROUP=users
HOST=biteme4
EDITOR=vi
RSYNC_RSH=ssh
CVS_RSH=ssh
BLOCKSIZE=1k
MANPATH=/opt/SUNWspro/man:/usr/local/man:/usr/share/man:/usr/openwin/man:/usr/local/hpnp/man:/opt/SUNWvts/man:/opt/sfw/man:/usr/sfw/man

Are there any other smaller log files generated where we could look for clues?
thanks!
