Yes it is possible to do a network installation , its called a JUMPSTART
in Solaris speak.
As you are a confessed newbie I dont recommend this for you as it
involves first installing Solaris on the laptop.
I think you will have an easier path to success by downloading the six
CD's in the
Solaris Express CD set. And install from CD's
