When trying to install OpenSolaris 2008.05 on my Dell D800 laptop, the installation gets as far as "detecting disks" and hangs. Booting from the 'Live CD' doesn't see the hard drive, either. The disk currently has Ubuntu 8.05 'Hardy' installed on it, and it works fine. Previously, I had WinXP installed, and the Open Solaris install hung at the same "detecting disks" phase.
