The Realtek 811c network interface is supported on Solaris Nevada. Your card probably just has a different PCI ID set, perhaps one that is for the motherboard vendor rather than Realtek themselves. Each PCI (or PCI Express) device in your system has a vendor ID, which identifies the supplier, and a device ID, which is used by the operating system to identify the device.
To get a list of all of the devices in your system, run the following command as root: prtconf -v then post the output here. You don't need the whole lot, only the lines around any occurrences of "Ethernet" that are present. Cheers Andrew.
