This is incorrect. All distros other than SXCE / SXDE and Solaris 10 are 
missing things that cannot legally be distributed outwith a Sun-controlled 
distribution. This includes the CDE desktop, the Java-based Solaris installer 
(which SXDE doesn't use) and Live Upgrade. Of those, you are only likely to 
want Live Upgrade, since the others are not really worth having unless you are 
already a UNIX user. CDE includes Solaris' default login manager (dtlogin) so 
this is different on non-Sun distributions.

Indiana a.k.a. OpenSolaris 2008.05 does not contain any of the encumbered 
components and is therefore on an equal footing to those distributions created 
by the community outwith Sun.
