Hi

A proper reboot will take time as SMF tries to do an "orderly" shutdown and 
shuts down 90+ services before rebooting. Also if you're using an older build 
(< 83 I think), updating boot-archive is time consuming (in later builds it's 
just few seconds).

Few things to try:

1. Update to build 84+ for faster rebuilding of boot-archive
2. just use "reboot" command for ultra fast (and potentially unclean) shutdown

The proper procedure for shutdown is to use "shutdown -y -g 0 -i 5". See 
manpage for details.
