I'm trying to install a Solaris for the first time, on my own computer.
I've download the Express for developers 6/08, I think. ( the one we can
download now )

The installation has run well, but I can't log in with GNOME.
CDE is working correctly.
If I try GNOME, it seems to start, I can see a black screen, and a "Fr" button
on the right down corner is displayed, and then it returns to the login page.

If I first go in the console mode, and I try "gnome-session", it tells me
Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:

I try to set the DISPLAY, but I get the same message, with the display added.

If I login with CDE, and I try to start gnome-session from an X-term, X_mkdi
tells I am not the owner, but does not tell of what :

X_mkdir: Vous n'êtes pas propriétaire
X_mkdir: Vous n'êtes pas propriétaire
SESSION_MANAGER=local/grisouille:/tmp/.ICE-unix/1019,inet6/grisouille:43116,inet/grisouille:37324
Cannot locate dbus-daemon
Erreur de segmentation (core dumped)

It speaks about the dbus-daemon. Maybe this is the problem.

Then, if I log as root in a dtterm, and I launch gnome-session, I still obtain a
Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: localhost:0.0

(having done a xhost+ before 'su', then setting DISPLAY to localhost)

If you have an idea of what I can do...

Thanks
Djobi.
