Hm,
I dont think you should ever select a TYPICAL install .
Always select CUSTOM when given a Choise.
The Solaris typical install senario hides several of the choises
you need to make in the install process.
From this Manual close to the end of the page:
http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/820-4039/webstart-91?l=en&a=view
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15. Select the type of installation you want to perform. Click Next.
Select Default Install to install the Entire Solaris Software Group.
Select Custom Install if you want to perform the following tasks.
Install a specific software group
Install additional software
Install specific software packages
Install a specific locale
Customize the disk layout
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So You need to perform a CUSTOM installation to be able to select
Which LOCALE's or languages that ends up in your system .
