Managed to get ssh -X working after making a couple of changes to the
sshd_config file to allow X11 and root access.

kbd -s gave a choice of about 41 layouts. Tried UK-English and US-English but
still could not get the '|' pipe key to work. I installed Solaris Express
build 82 in a virtual machine and it had the same problem. I am fairly sure it
worked previously when installed on the workstation. I may end up installing a
Solaris 10 release on the workstation to double check though. It's only used
to allow me to test stuff out on so I am able to wipe out and reinstall as
often as I want.

Thanks
