i understand that the packaging system is different and they have their own way of installing packages. What i cannot understand is why they are showing different versions for the same application. pkg info shows the version SUNWzlib as 1.2.3 pkginfo -l shows the version of same application on same machine as 11.11.0,REV=2008.03.19.13.46
