Hi All, i have a sunblade 1000 that has 1 built in Ethernet port and an additional card with 4 more ports.
I have 5 public static IP's I want to hose a few very low traffic websites, e-mail for those sites as well as some database activity. My question is there an advantage to having a different port with a different IP handle each service? Example: En0 --> IP: 75.149.xx.xx --> answer to samba, ssh, etc, etc Qfe1 --> IP: 75.149.xx.xx --> answer web traffic Qfe2 --> IP: 75.149.xx.xx --> answer e-mail POP and SMTP Qfe3 --> IP: 75.149.xx.xx --> Answer Database requests Qfe4 --> Spare unused port for now I would be interested in thoughts on distributing services like this.
