Does it print any error messages? Does it at least load OpenSolaris 2008.05' grub menu? If it does load the OpenSolaris grub menu: edit the grub boot menu entry and add option " -k" at the end of the kernel line, and boot. Did you reinstall snv_93 from scratch, or was is a real upgrade? In case of a reinstall, did you choose zfs for the root filesystem, or did you choose ufs? In case of a reinstall to a zfs root filesystem: did you tell the installer about the other (opensolaris 2008.05) hdd?
