but cannot find an answer in the Sysadmin advanced nor basic docs?? I'm running opensolaris 2008 on an i86 PC with a zpool boot. What is the nonclementure (naming convention) for physical devices in Solaris and how do I get a list of physical disks and partitions? On Arch linux the devices are /dev/sd[a-d] for IDE drives (using libata) and partitions are 1,2,3 so on. So first IDE drive second partition would be /dev/sda2. fdisk -l would give me a list of devices and partitions. Solaris has the prtconf and zpool but I cannot seem to get the info I need. ideas please good folk?
