Untested bleeding-edge developer builds distributed automatically is a really 
good reason not to use an OS. If they can't improve their testing, then at 
least they should stop distributing broken code.

It sounds like the correct Occamic response to this one is to reinstall the OS 
from the CD (which I've already done), and then wait two weeks (or half a 
week?) for the code to be fixed. However, at that point you shouldn't install 
it, but rather wait a couple more days after it has been released to see if 
many people are complaining of burns...

I used to like this sort of stuff when I was young... Now it's just an 
impediment I just don't want to waste my time with.
