Thank you for your answer.

When I turn on option:

    Option   "DRI"   "True"

I get the message which says that no kernel module has been
started, and I should look if "agpgart" has been started. So
disabled this option. The drivers for radeon and dri seem to
start well:

      ABI class: X.Org Video Driver, version 1.2
      (==) AIGLX enabled
      (II) LoadModule: "dri"
      (II) Loading /usr/X11/lib/modules/extensions/amd64//libdri.so
      (II) Module dri: vendor="X.Org Foundation"
      (II) Loading extension XFree86-DRI
      (II) Loading /usr/X11/lib/modules/drivers/amd64//radeon_drv.so

Not directly, as you can see above. Especially I get an error stating:

"(EE) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI capable"

I don't know how get that fixed. Or is it possible to install
the proprietary ATI driver on Solaris (despite the fact that it is
only distributed for Linux)?

Roman.
