It also depends on if the NTFS disk was partitioned using MBR or GUID.
If it's the former, then even the OpenSolaris installer will recognize it as NTFS. If it's the latter, you're screwed. Stated less dramatically, I have yet to find a way to read/mount a GUID partitioned NTFS disk on OpenSolaris short of running a copy of Vista in VirtualBox and giving that raw disk access, and I haven't done THAT because VirtualBox warns that there's a slight chance that using raw disk access may entirely destroy all the data on said disk. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list [email protected]
