The Xorg.0.log file lists that it finds GeForce 6100 GPU.  The first line was: 
"Cannot create /var/dt/stdlogin directory for display manager pipe: No such 
file or directory".  I created the directory /var/dt and that error was not in 
the log on the next try.  I get a line : (==) Log file: xxxx  and then (EE) 
Unable to locate/open config file.  Unfortunately it does not list the file 
name and I am not sure that is the problem anyway.
