Thank you very much.
Your advice is precise and descriptive...

Will try your suggestions and let you know how it went...

I downloaded and installed both Solaris 10 and the Solaris Express Community
Edition.
I've been reading around all these days trying to figure out what the
differences between them are.

What I saw is that both those versions have the ZFS GUI, and it works. BUT...
there are basic things missing from those distros too... for example pressing
the up key in terminal does not bring you your previous commands, pressing tab
in an incomplete command does not fill in, package manager is not installed,
and they don't look as good as the opensolaris 2008.11 does.

Basic newbie stuff, but vital for my case.

I have managed to create a 5 hd raidz pool and test it.
Want to find more info on NFS vs CIFS performance-wise and setup-wise
so I can setup and test both see what's better for me...

Thanx again...
