If you do a svcs -l service_name it will show you the location of the log
file for the service. Take a look at the log file and see what that says.
Also going back to your first post

open...@opensol-desktop:~$ svcs -d ssh
STATE          STIME    FMRI
disabled       23:37:13 svc:/network/physical:default
disabled       23:37:13 svc:/system/cryptosvc:default
online         23:37:14 svc:/network/loopback:default
online         23:37:15 svc:/network/physical:nwam
online         23:37:26 svc:/network/ipfilter:default
online         23:37:27 svc:/system/filesystem/local:default
online         23:37:32 svc:/system/filesystem/autofs:default
online         23:37:33 svc:/system/utmp:default


physical is disabled. This means that your physical network interface is not
enabled and ssh will not start if have no NIC set up on the system.
