Last year this time I was a newbie to OpenSolaris. One of the reasons I
started The Observatory

help other newbies like myself. Now I easily use it as my daily os. Scan
through the topics or use the search feature. As you're already learned,
this alias is also a great resource.

Another problem with OpenSolaris is that there's a severe shortage of "newbie"
help. I guess most users have come from Linux or older versions of Solaris, so it's
really difficult for a novice like myself to find basic information about little things
that the majority of users would know like the back of their hand.
