I tried what you suggested and it nearly worked:

Do you know what the last message is all about?
We could establish that there seems to be an installation issue on our
server (I am no expert, I am no system administrator). Apparently, it is
ran as a zone and the version returned by uname -a (111b) does not match
the installed packages (101). I am starting to think that we may need
someone to re-install that system properly.

That doesn't look right to me. If I go to pkg.opensolaris.org/release
and search for sunstudio12u1 (all versions) I see:
sunstudio1...@12.1,5.11-0.101:20090619T160708Z

I think what you want to specify is:
