Try installing last build of OpenSolaris (it is 124 build, it can be got from 
genunix.org). OpenSolaris 09.06 doesn't recognize extended partition. Later 
builds  recognize these partitions, but I don't know, if they can be installed 
on it. But at least you may try :)
