I'm still missing your point. If you will use Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSuse, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, NetBSD and so on and you will loose data for some reason in OS you will be crying around and talking how about all people around you are noobs?
Untill you buy some support you are on your own or on similar forums or mailing lists and it's same for all OS's. I can see directly on this page for download http://www.opensolaris.com/get/index.jsp that you can buy subscriptions (support). Did you buy? No? Then wait for help on forum or mailing lists if you can't repair it by yourself.
