won't help - that's instructions for enabling mDNS lookups on your
solaris box, which solves the inverse problem. You might need to do
that to get your hostname into mDNS, though...

Try setting CLIENT_ID in /etc/default/dhcpagent file. Read the
paragraphs above and below that for information on setting the host
name.

My Solaris boxes are all servers, so they have fixed IP addresses, or
I'd try - no, I'd have fixed it for DNS a while back. I hate having to
use IP addresses as well.
