Hi, I read recently in the forum that, Solaris Express Community Edition is going to end of production. I was using build "snv_122 X86" for comstar. Now i want to install the OS into another server and confused whether to get latest 126 build or go for Open Solaris edition. Could anyone guide me which one i should get ? My goal is to have comstar working. Thanks in advance.
On a different note, i also need guidance on installation procedure. Currently i have linux installed (RHEL 5.2) on the server. Could i install Open Solaris in the server without disrupting my linux partition? Or would i have to delete linux and install Open Solaris only ? Is installing open Solaris straight forward from the CD/DVD ? I mean insert the disk, reboot the server and installation kicks in ? Thanks.
