The default is to run without xorg.conf, so that Xorg automatically
probes for all the settings.

Seems that the Xorg server startup is quite slow, when ASPEED
video hardware is used; GDM times out and kills the Xorg
server. Apparently the workaround is to increase the
GdmXserverTimeout from 10 to 30 seconds...
