USB devices do automatically mount these days. I just added a USB stick
and "df" shows it did mount.
desk1:/home/luser ->df -k
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/dsk/c5t0d0p0 499480 728 498752 1% /media/NO NAME
Probably due to this service
