No, it's totally different. System restore only restores the configuration 
files. A ZFS snapshot is a snapshot of the way the entire file system 
(including all your user data, documents, images, movies, etc.) was at a 
particular point in time. The initial size of the snapshot is zero because it 
only keeps track of the block level differences between snapshots.
