Slight correction:

S10U8 is the first Solaris 10 release to fully support 2TB disks and it therefore had to go to a 64 bit initial install boot. S10U7 and earlier used a 32 bit initial boot for the install.

Hi,

Running virtualbox on a Xeon processor. I have installed Centos 5.4,
Windows Server 2008 in 64 bit remotely using RDP.

For some reason everytime I try to install either opensolaris or Solaris
10 using the same method, I only can bring it up in 32 bit. Anyone have
any idea why these 2 OSs will not pull up the 64 bit installer? Thanks.

What version of S10 ? Up until U6 (IIRC) the install was 32bit and then
the next boot was 64bit.

Alternatively, does the BIOS have a VT-X option ? If, it could be that
that needs setting.
