The MAC is 0:1f:c6:5a:43:57...my ISP on windows sees it as 
00:1F:C6:5A:43:57....does that make a difference...simply put, i'm able to 
login to my ISP account, but nothing else...i get an error message that says 
your machine id is different from the one already registered with us.

Also, my hostname in Windows is nash, while in opensolaris it is opensolaris. 
does that make a difference?
