Hi,
I have a similar problem, but it is with a wireless interface. My
wireless interface drops out if it is inactive for some time. The link
looks to stay connected but no traffic will pass through. The time can
vary from just around 10 minutes to many hours. I think it maintained
connection for almost a full day at one point.
This has been happening since b129, I think, and certainly on 130 and 131.
If I keep a network application running that generates even a little
send and receive traffic then I have no problems. Otherwise when
connection is lost I have to svcadm disable and enable nwam.
I have not yet investigated it. Perhaps it is a known problem. One of
these days if I can find some time I will look into it and perhaps send
a bug report.
