I've struck out trying to look in documents and search the web.

Where can I find:

The installation log? I've found suggestions one is written in /tmp, but
have never seen one there. Perhaps "when" is another question I need to
ask?

Does the graphic package update program, or the pkg command, produce a
log, and if so where do I find it? (Or can I make it do so somewhow?)

Can I get a lot of the most recent boot, either separately or in an
ordinary log file?

In general I have a horrible time finding log files on Solaris, because
they're scattered everywhere (and because I'm used to looking in /var/log
:-)).
