yes, it worked perfectly for what i needed. Permissions and acl's are identical. It was quite simple. Solaris is an enigma. So many things are amazingly complex while so many others are amazingly simple. I used linux for years and moved to FreeBSD, i used to say that i was a novice for years and 2 weeks of bsd taight me more than 2 years of linux. I feel that way again using OpenSolaris. There is just SOOOO much you can do (been reading all the crossbow stuff for 2-3 days...and the COMSTAR stuff.)
