Thanks for all the assistance.

I noticed that things didn't work out too well when I slapped the sol-10_u8
packages on OpenSolaris. In particular, gcc wouldn't compile anything. Didn't
seem to know where to find the header files.

Starting out with a fresh install I was able to get the yukonx driver to work
with my card. Previously, I had tried the myk driver before the yukonx. Not
sure exactly why. Some combination of alphabetic order and the partial succes
of belenix in binding this driver to the card. (It binds and detects changes in
media state but can't communicate in any other way). Apparently, the
instructions for uninstalling the myk driver are less than thorough, or I
didn't follow them correctly.

Without myk leftovers getting in the way, the yukonx worked just fine. The card
(an 8038) wasn't listed in the HCL, so I submitted a success report there.

Armed with this wired connection, I was able to get the bcmndis driver working
after only a couple of false starts.

So I guess that's a solved problem.

Although I find Solaris a bit abstruse compared the the BSD variants with
which I'm more familiar, things aren't really that bad if you just read the
docs and follow instructions.

Thanks again
