Hi all,

I am running OpenSolaris "SunOS Release 5.11 Version snv_135 64-bit" on a Sparc Machine. After updating with some non-ON software on my machine, I am no longer able to boot my machine
due to "boot-archive" not being consistent.

I found out that the following SMF services were _not_ enabled by default, so after the original installation
I did enable them:

       # svcadm enable svc:/system/boot-archive-update:default
       # svcadm enable svc:/system/boot-config:default

Upon reboot, I get a message telling me to use "boot -F failsafe" on OBP based machine to fix the inconsistencies.
Such reboot results in the following:

# reboot -- "-F failsafe"
syncing file systems... done
rebooting...
Resetting...

I booted single user, and attempted to fix it with:

# bootadm update-archive -R /
#

This does not seem to do anything as I get the OS prompt back instantaneously.

I also tried "svcadm clear system/boot-archive" and that did not help at all.

Any insight/help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

/Frank
