I'm using OpenSolaris snv_134 on HP Compaq 8710w laptop, and brightness keys (Fn + F9 / Fn + F10) don't affect the display brightness, even when automatic mode is off (automatic mode switching works though, with Fn + F11). What can be wrong with them? (The video card is Quadro FX 1600M, VBIOS 60.84.56.02.02).
On a side note, how are Sun brightness keys supposed to be used (on Sun keyboard)? There are volume keys which work with OpenSolaris, and they also have brightness function, but I didn't figure out how it's supposed to be used (with what modifier) and do they work at all?
