Hello, OpenSolaris folks. I recently inherited an unused Sun Blade 1500 Red,
an UltraSPARC IIIi box. I have downloaded the latest AI image for sparc, which
is thankfully bootable as this is the only Solaris box that we have in the lab.
To make a long story short, I was able to install and boot into OpenSolaris.
I was also able to add a second disk to the root ZFS pool as a mirror and
attach it to our NIS, which is surprising for me since I'm not a sysadmin, just
a software developer.

Now, for the question. I see on the website that XVR-600 graphics are not
supported by Xorg. I was under the impression that Xsun isn't an option for
OpenSolaris, meaning that I will not be able to run X on the console for this
box. Is this correct? This isn't such a terrible thing for me, as the box's
intended use doesn't require X, but it would still be nice. Is there a way to
run a slower X on this machine, e.g. an equivalent to running Xorg in VESA mode
with an unsupported graphics card on a Linux box?
