Hi All,

I'm having a problem with Java Web Start applications dying as soon as they are
launched. I have another snv_134 system, and have not been able to reproduce
the issue on it, so I wonder if anyone has any pointers as to what is at fault.

$ java -version
java version "1.6.0_18"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_18-b07)
Java HotSpot(TM) Server VM (build 16.0-b13, mixed mode)

If I got to (for example) http://www.opends.org/ and click on the "Get 2.2 now
!" JNLP link, I'll see a Java WS splash screen for about 10 seconds, which then
disappears with no other activity. If I download the JNLP link to the desktop
and execute it manually with /usr/java/bin/javaws:

$ /usr/java/bin/javaws QuickSetup.jnlp
dav...@mymachine:/export/home/davenz/Desktop$ Xlib: unexpected async reply
(sequence 0x115)!
Xlib: sequence lost (0x10000 > 0x115) in reply type 0xf8!

I've attached the log file, and their is an attendant core dump at:

http://public.me.com/davekoelmeyer/core

Running Java applets in a web page (eg. at www.javafx.com/samples) also appears
to lock up my Firefox 3.6 browser.

Any help gratefully appreciated!
Cheers,
Dave
