Hi and apologies for semi-hijacking this thread but as I'm just about to
get some used SPARC systems sent from the UK to Turkey for my OSOL user
group out here this information is quite valid for me too considering
everything I'm looking at is EOL by Sun Oracle's standards now.
Are graphics on an Ultra 5 or Ultra 10 supported?
No. Officially, all SPARC workstations older than Ultra 25/45 are EOL
and not supported on anything newer than Solaris 10. The Ultra 5/10
use the same m64 driver for the onboard graphics as the Sun Blade
100/150.
Am wondering if this is referring to other hardware too??
I plan on going for this list so it would be really good to know what's
compatible and what's not:
Sun Fire V120
Sun Fire V480
Sun Blade 100 Workstation
Sun Fire v20Z
Sun Fire V210
I mean I will be using these systems with an old Wise 60 serial based
Dumb Terminal and perhaps a Xyplex serial console multiplexer too....
If any advice or thoughts could be provided it would be very much
appreciated!!
