[osol-help] ATI 4870 Video card Driver help

I am trying to learn Linux, Opensolaris dist. I am having a terrible time 
trying to install the ATI video card drivers for this. ATI has Linux drivers 
but when I double click to run the file, it doesn't install. Doesn't Linux 
installers run like Windows? You just double click the file and it runs?
Any help would be appreciated.
