Thank you chrisj and Steven, apache22 is now working! After I posted my question I did a bit of poking around in the log files, and discovered /var/svc/log/network-http:apache22.log and that did show an error about a module in modules32, so I commented that but it still wasn't working.
I turned on the debugging as suggested, I'm sure it'll come in handy. Then I commented the server root, still no go. Set server root back to the default, and got a new error message: (2)No such file or directory: httpd: could not open error log file /usr/apache2/2.2/logs/error_log. I guess it was looking in /usr/apache2 since there wasn't an explicit error_log file path, so I gave it an explicit path of /var/apache2/2.2/logs/error_log since that was already there, and did the 'svcadm clear apache22' and that did the trick! -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
