Here is what I did to fix it: Open a console and log in as root Type firefox to verify that the program can start as root. Remain root and start nautilus In the File Browser, enable View->ShowHiddenFiles navigate to /export/home/"user<yourloginname>" Look for hidden folder .mozilla This folder contains file firefox Since nautilus had been started in the previous step using root, Access rights to this folder can be changed. Right click .mozilla, select Properties Click Permissions tab Make sure "user<yourloginname>" is granted access to the files Apply the changes to sub-folders (tick check box) For safety, reboot opensolaris Login as normal, check that Mozilla Firefox can now start.
Explanation: Firefox cannot access .mozilla/firefox file. This is a hidden file residing in path: /export/home/"user<yourloginname>" Grant access right to this file to solved the problem. -- This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-help mailing list opensolaris-help@opensolaris.org
