I currrently boot my HP ML115 running OpenSolaris/Nexentastor from one of these controllers. They are a Dell branded LSI logic 1068 card.
The RAID on them is rather slow and not recommended. They are however very nice for connecting SAS+SATA disks with no RAID. The link you provide seems rather expensive as you can buy them directly from Dell for $109. They appear on ebay frequently for very reasonable money.
