official ? hog wash The version I post and release has a testsuite publicly posted at the GCC site and thus it is "official". Go check : http://gcc.gnu.org/gcc-4.4/buildstat.html Actually .. if you build it yourself then it is "official". And of course it is open source under an "official" open source license. Did anyone bother to tell the poor guy to go get Sun Studio 12 ? That is the real "Official" compiler because the OS is built with it.
