syslogd markinterval default is on 20 minutes. I am experiencing load/unload cycles of my NAS disks correlated with markinterval, i.e. load cycles are app. 3 x operating hours. I would like to change this setting, but I am puzzled how. Can anybody please direct me to adjust this parameter permanently to 1h, or more? I am assuming that this is best be done by using svccfg, but I am stuck and clueless from reading the respective man pages (i.e. how do syslogd parameters translate into svccfg parameters?)
